Nelson Bay- one wins and a draw

One win and a draw - and a margin of plus 1 - and we still came third!!  That's the result from Nelson Bay.

Today's match against Zone 4 resulted in a draw  and went down to the very last bowl. A drive missed the target by a very narrow margin is the report from President Bob Moran. This was after yesterday's 2 shot win over Zone 12 and 1 shot loss to Zone 2 . Bob says that with an ounce of luck we could have won the competition.

Zone 2 (Newcastle) won the competition overall from Zone 16 (Illawarra) on margin, both with 2 wins, with Zone 9 third, one win, one draw and Zone 4 (West) coming in last. This has been our best performance at this competition for many years.
