barefoot bowls

'Barefoot Bowls' are another informal game of bowls that is even less structured than Bundy Bowls. It is essentially a 'muck up' game with participants trying their hand with no experience.

As the name implies, players can literally play barefoot, but this can become somewhat uncomfortable in winter.

Those clubs that cater for barefoot bowlers provide players with a set of bowls as part of the cost of playing. All games are played in the late afternoon on week days - particularly during daylight saving - or on weekends, but usually not on Saturday afternoons.

'Barefoot Bowls' can be a fun theme for a social outing - be it a club, school, company etc.

The clubs in Zone 9 which offer the opportunity to play 'barefoot bowls" are:

Hornsby Bowling Club

Lane Cove Bowling Club

9489 1674

9420 5793

North Sydney Bowling Club 9466 8896
Warringah Bowling Club 9969 4313

Please phone these clubs to enquire about playing days and times and whether they are available for hire for your own social outing.
