The pinnacle of any Club is to compete for and perhaps win a State Pennant and this weekend sees four of our Clubs (representing sides in Grades 1-7) on the road to play at venues across the width and breadth of the State in pursuit of that holy grail.

The State Pennant Finals run from Friday 26th - Sunday 28th July with two rounds of sectional play on Friday and Round 3 on Saturday morning.  A significant change to the schedule this year sees the top two teams in each section going through to a cross-over quarter final on Saturday afternoon followed by the semi-finals and Final on Sunday.

Zone 9 Teams at the State Pennant Finals

Grade 1     Belrose          Forster BC

Grade 2     Mona Vale     St Georges Basin BC

Grade 3     Asquith          West Tamworth BC

Grade 4     Asquith          Port City BC

Grade 5     Mona Vale     Halekulani BC

Grade 6     Belrose          Kiama BC

Grade 7     Harbord         Nelson Bay BC

So many challenges face our bowlers over the coming days:

Can the Grade 1 Belrose Bulls, a champion side built on spirit and home-grown talent, match the many star-studded Clubs bolstered by international and inter-state imports?

Can Mona Vale match their achievements of 2017 and bring home another Grade 2 State Flag?

Can either or both of the Asquith Grade 3 and Grade 4 sides bring home their Club's first State Flag?

Can the Mona Vale Grade 5 and Belrose Grade 6 sides capitalise on their outstanding victories at the Zone play-offs?

Can the Harbord Grade 7 side make their own history at the same venue where their club-mates won the 2013 State Grade 2 flag?

Keep an eye on the BNSW website throughout the weekend for scores and other news.  A summary of play and results will be provided on this website at the end of each day.

Best wishes to all our Zone 9 sides!!  Carpe diem!!
