ZONE 9 PENNANT FINALS - Day 1

Mark Alexander, Saturday, 25 May 2019

Day 1 of the 2019 Zone 9 Pennant Finals was played under magnificent blue skies with barely a hint of the breeze that so often treks across the Harbord greens.

Two Flags were decided with congratulations to Mona Vale (Grade 2) and Asquith (Grade 3) upon earning the right to contest the State Pennant Finals in late July.  Commiserations to Dee Why (Grade 2) and Manly (Grade 3) who enjoyed terrific seasons but came up just short on the big day:

Grade 2   Mona Vale defeated Dee Why 63-45

Grade 3   Asquith defeated Manly 64-51

Two rounds were played in the Grade 5 and Grade 6 round-robins and there is plenty to play for in tomorrow morning's Round 3.  The standings after Round 2 can be found via the link below.
