ONE ROUND TO GO!!

Mark Alexander, Saturday, 11 May 2019

A number of matches in next week's Round 10 will have a significant bearing on the make-up of the Finals in the 2019 Zone 9 Pennant Competition.

Grade 2 - Dee Why and Mona Vale are assured of meeting in the Zone Final and will actually play each other in next Saturday's Round 10.

Grade 3 - Asquith, Dee Why and Manly are involved in a terrific battle for the top two spots with next week's Manly v Dee Why clash crucial for the final placings.

Grade 4 - top spot in Section 1 is now down to Mosman (64) or Harbord (63) while Asquith have already sewn up top spot in Section 2.

Grade 5 - the best performed 2nd placed side at the end of the sectional rounds will join the section winners in the Zone play-offs so there is much for play for in all 3 sections; Belrose have won Section 1 while Lindfield Rollers (52) and Harbord (51) are battling for 2nd spot; Manly (63.5) are just holding off Mona Vale (59) in Section 2 while West Pymble (69) will win Section 3 with Pittwater Memorial (57.5) in 2nd spot.

Grade 6 - as in Grade 5, the best performed 2nd placed side at the end of the sectional rounds will join the section winners in the Zone play-offs; Belrose (71) and Balgowlah (62.5) head Section 1 with St Ives(1) (53) still an outside chance; Harbord are undefeated all season and cannot be toppled in Section 2 while it's a tight affair in Section 3 with Lane Cove (66) and Warringah (58) out in front and Pittwater Memorial (50) close behind.

Grade 7 - Belrose (73) are looking safe to win Section 1 but cannot afford a slip-up in Round 10 as Killara (65) have closed the gap while the undefeated Harbord have secured top spot in Section 2 and cannot be overtaken.

A summary of all Grades and the make-up of the post-sectional Finals will be provided after next Saturday's Round 10.
